If you happen to own a BlackBerry SmartPhone instead of an iPhone, you might find that you are encountering the same challenges. You have downloaded an App and have now decided that you no longer like it, or need it, and would like the space freed up for something bigger and better.
One gloomy spring day, you decide it’s time for some spring cleaning in one of your email accounts (Hey, it’s not nice outside, and you’d rather do this than the other things on your list). You empty your junk folder,create a new folder or two, delete a few old emails, and clean up your contact list. You figure, whatever, if I need them again, I have them on my Blackberry. Besides, this email isn’t one that you really use anyway. Your other email address is the one you use the most. A quick sync on your Blackberry later, and your gr….. wait…. Where did my 300 contacts go?!?!?!
If you are anything like me, you absentmindedly set your keys/glasses/phone down somewhere, and then later, when of course you are running late, you can not find the said object, even if your life depended on it.
Sadly, for me this is a regular occurrence. So when I heard about MobileMe’s Find My iPad App, I couldn’t help but smile. This app was definitely made for people like me and has the potential to be an excellent Mobile Device Management tool.
Connecting to the Internet on an iOS device (devices designed and marketed by Apple Inc) is fairly simple.
Just use any application that uses the internet, and you’re riding the gravy train.
However, if you happen to use a Virtual Private Network ( VPN), then life may not be so good for you and your mobile device.
